On Thursday, June 26, 2014, Queenie Productions will host the $1,000 Kathryn Lily Equestrian Pony “Derby” Classic at the National Equestrian Center in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. Held in the Main Ring in the indoor of the National Equestrian Center, the Pony “Derby” Classic will be the feature of the evening and presented on livestream. Since it is being held as an independent two round classic, winners will receive twice as many points as a regular classic points plus bonus points for every pony they beat in the class.

Trainer Daphne Thornton says, “I’m really looking forward to the Pony Derby Classic at the Queenie Productions show June 26 in St. Louis. The Derby prize money is always a nice incentive… but the addition of classic points will really make this special.” The Pony “Derby” Classic is sponsored by the clothing and accessory company Kathryn Lily Equestrian, which means there will be apparel prizes galore. Additionally, Pony Pizza Company is sponsoring a pizza party for the riders before the event.
Hallie Rush, 10, who plans to compete in the Classic says, “I am really excited to compete in the Kathryn Lily Pony Classic because I am a Kathryn Lily Spokes Model, so I look forward to meeting the other riders and other Kathryn Lily Spokes Models. The Classic will be great practice for Pony Finals, which is a big goal for me this year with my ponies.”
Champion and Reserve Champion in the Pony “Derby” Classic will receive a Kathryn Lily ProAir Show Shirt, a Kathryn Lily ribbon belt, and Kathryn Lily piggies (show bows). Kathryn Lily Piggies will be awarded to every ribbon winning rider. Additionally, if the winner of the classic is wearing a Kathryn Lily ProAir shirt and a Kathryn Lily belt or piggies, they will receive an incentive prize of a piece of custom artwork from Rachel Kruse Equine Portraiture.

In addition the June 24-26th show, the Lake St. Louis Summer Festival will continue straight into another show June 28-30 also at the National Equestrian Festival, which will feature two round stand-alone classics for both Green Pony Hunters and Regular Pony Hunters. The Lake St. Louis Summer Festival will be the final chance to qualify for USEF Pony Hunter Finals 2014 and USEF Junior Hunter Finals 2014.
