More than 700 people have sent in applications, and horseCom is one step closer to finding their riding star! The up-and-coming equestrian tech company is getting ready to film a Kickstarter video to promote their product and namesake: horseCom. It is a wearable headpiece that’s easily attachable to helmet and a Bluetooth enabled ear bonnet with built in speakers and an app to download on your phone accompanies it. The system works together to make music based training a reality for you and your horse!
The system has a lot of great research behind it with findings provided by ethologists from the University of Caen’s Memory and Behavioral Plasticity Group (GMPC), the Pluridisciplinary Institute Hubert Curien (IPHC), French National Research Institute CNRS and the University of Strasbourg. The use of a music based training program has great benefits for you and your horse. See less tension and more focus in your horse. In return, you’ll feel more balanced and in sync with your mount!
The company wants to give a deserving, non-famous equestrian a chance to help promote their awesome product and be seen by thousands of people!
41 finalists were chosen, representing from west coast to east coast in over 20 states! So what happens next? Each applicant had to answer questions describing their level of competition and what their bond with their horse is like. 7 photos about them, their horse and where they ride accompanied the questionnaire and the help of a jury of professionals, the 41 candidates moved on to the next phase. The voting process!
Starting on Wednesday, April 13th, the polls will open and the public gets to choose their favorite equestrian. While voting, you’ll find a short video created by each candidate telling you about themselves, their horse, and the location they’re in. Each will be posted on horseCom’s Facebook where you’ll be able to vote for your favorite! The top five videos will receive a generous $300 cash and a prize from CWD Sellier USA. The winner will be chosen from the top five on April 29th and that person will be the new riding star featured in the horseCom Kickstarter campaign!
Good luck to all of the contestants! Can’t wait to see who will win!
