In appreciation for local trainers and riders, HIPICO Santa Fe is offering a non-rated Fall Community Horse Show September 23rd, 24th, & 25th. With the release of the Community Show Premium, HIPICO is excited to offer hunter/jumper classes for all ages and riding levels with affordable entry fees.
The HIPICO Santa Fe Fall Community Show will feature an All-In-One Jackpot Grand Prix, a Handy Hunter Derby and Champion and Reserve Champion awards for Hunter and Jumper divisions. All standard classes are $25 per entry and ribbons will be awarded for the top six places in all classes. The Handy Hunter Derby is $35 per entry and the top three places split a $350 purse. The All-In-One Jackpot Grand Prix is $100 per entry and the 1st place winner receives a minimum purse of $500 plus 50% of all entry fees.
“The HIPICO Community Shows are designed to bring the New Mexico horse community together with open, affordable and fun competition,” says Sparrow Campbell, Director of Protocol. “We would like to express our gratitude to our wonderful trainers and riders for their support of HIPICO Santa Fe. With the community show, we are pleased to make competition opportunities comparable to our A-rated shows accessible to the local and regional horse community.” While HIPICO’s Community Shows are popular with New Mexico trainers and riders, HIPICO would like to extend the invitation to exhibitors from neighboring states.
After extremely positive feedback about the footing from competitors during the Santa Fe Summer Series, HIPICO Santa Fe is excited to announce that Community Show exhibitors competing in the jumper classes, including the All-In-One Jackpot Grand Prix, will have the opportunity to compete on HIPICO’s grass competition arenas. Hunter classes will be held on the proven, all-weather GGT footing.
Conditions permitting, both grass and all-weather sand arenas will be open for ticketed schooling Friday, September 23rd from 11AM-6PM. Jumpers will start at a height of .65 and hunters will start at a height of 2’. If requested and time permitting, higher jumps are available for ticketed schooling. Friday’s schooling is $15 per round for open schooling or $50 for unlimited schooling rounds per entered horse and rider combination.
“This is our chance to say ‘thank you’ and to offer quality schooling and competition at this incredible venue,” Campbell continued. “We want to show our appreciation through our classes and our awards – as well as sharing the sheer joy of riding on grass. The horses love it and so do we!”
