This is the week to get yourself to the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, CA, for the Longines Masters of Los Angeles. The CSI5* event runs Sept. 29 – Oct. 2, 2016 and is the American leg of the Grand Slam Indoor of Show Jumping. During the four day event, attendees will experience world-class show jumping plus an eclectic mix of social events, art, food, culture, and entertainment that celebrate the Los Angeles lifestyle.
And then there’s the SHOPPING. At Longines Masters, it’s Prestige Village. It’s an experience you don’t want to miss. Two vendors — LA Saddlery and La Martina — have partnered to create a shopping experience that will surprise and delight.
LA Saddlery is a bricks and mortar store located at the LA Equestrian Center and has three mobile units that travel to the major California horse shows up and down the coast. At Longines Masters of Los Angeles, LA Saddlery will be profiling several established and emerging South American and European brands giving US shoppers the chance see these lines. “The atmosphere will be eclectic–there will be certain brands that represent tailored elegance as well as others that represent the vibrancy, youth and technical prowess of today’s equestrian world,” says Lorraine Spurge, who brought together a variety of companies, artists and brands to create a unique shopping experience. These brands include:
EGO 7 – The answer to affordable, elegant everyday tall and paddock boots.
EQ Girl – A line so new it’s yet to even appear online. Meet the founder and designer of this trendy new brand of equestrian lifestyle wear. Created by Renee Spurge, owner of LA Saddlery, she explains the new line this way: “Make no mistake, I am 100% an anti-establishment, play-by-my-own-rules, ride-outside-the-lines kind of eqgirl. But I’ve been effective: I have managed to break in some of the most conservative trainers who have finally realized that if their customer’s happiness is easily acquired with silver buttons on their hunt coat, then so be it! However, many of the other die-hards still fail to acknowledge that the USEF rulebook on equitation apparel is still very vague, very short, and very adamant that riders are absolutely not to be judged on their riding apparel.”
eQuick – Boots to protect your horse in style.
EQUO – Equestrian athletic wear for you and your horse.
GPA – Helmets for every ride.
Invictus – A German designed and engineered technologically superior half pad.
Katherine Hooker London – Coats, dresses, sweaters and more which are made individually in England with British Isle fabrics.
Ronner – Columbian designed apparel for the equestrian lifestyle.
Tucci – Handmade in Italy.
St. Charles Baldwin Jewelry will also be presented, as well as the work of equestrian artist Stephanie Revennaugh.
Fairchild Baldwin — Leather goods and costume jewelry.
