NCEA sponsors help support collegiate equestrian programs throughout the nation.

(WACO, TX) – The National Advisory Board (NAB) of the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) today announced Der Dau, a custom boot manufacturer, as the  most recent addition to the list of sponsors dedicated to supporting Women’s Equestrian on the path to National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championship sport status.

“The number of collegiate equestrian programs continues to increase and Der Dau will be a valued partner as new teams come on board. We are excited Der Dau will join the list of exceptional NCEA sponsors,” said NCEA Executive Director Dr. Leah Fiorentino. “We look forward to a long term partnership with Der Dau as the popularity of collegiate riding programs expands across the country.”

The NAB continues to build partnerships with equine industry leaders such as Der Dau. These new sponsors contribute to NCEA programs’ future expansions.

“Der Dau is a leading custom boot manufacturer in the equine industry, consistently delivering hand crafted boots beyond compare. With its success, Der Dau enjoys supporting newly developing industry programs. Der Dau is excited to assist the NCEA as it strives for recognition as a premier level of equestrian competition” said Der Dau CEO Joseph Der.

The NCEA, with the support of the NCAA ensures that equestrian will be part of the effort to maintain meaningful educational opportunities for women through athletics.

“It is a genuine pleasure to be a part of NCEA and to be able to facilitate strategic partnerships that benefit our young athletes,” said Jessica Garcia, the NAB director of development.

Right now more than 800 women participate on NCAA equestrian teams across the nation and the number is growing each year. There is a renewed focus on the addition of new collegiate teams through outreach and advancement efforts.

“The expansion of national sponsors brings more excitement to the sport of equestrian and we hope this will prove to be a mutually beneficial relationship,” said Kevin Hurley, Senior Associate Athletics Director at Texas A&M University and Chair of the NCEA Sport Advancement Committee.

NCEA’s alliances assist in growing leaders and enriching the lives of female equestrians.

“We are excited to welcome Der Dau as national sponsors of the NCEA,” said Kelly Boles Chapman, co-chair of the NCEA National Advisory Board. “Their support and vision in advancing the opportunities for young women in our sport is greatly appreciated. We look forward to a strong partnership in expanding the opportunities for NCAA Women’s Equestrian, and in advancing the NAB’s goal to make Women’s Equestrian the first financially independent, self-sustaining non-revenue generating sport on the collegiate level.”
