BY TPH MEDIA CHAIR ESTELLE KRAFT
Each week, TPH Media Chair, Estelle Kraft, will be breaking down The Plaid Horse Pick Six — a weekly wrap up of equine news, great deals, popular blog posts and much more! Tune in every Sunday for six don’t miss things from the previous week.
2017 is quickly coming to a close, but TPH Blog Editor Lauren Mauldin asks a very important question — are you resolution ready? For me, horse back riding has always been a sport of setting a combination of short-term and long-term goals, so make sure you check this blog out before the new year rings in!
“It’s the time of year where everyone is looking forward to a fresh start. I think of the days leading up to New Year’s Eve as a clean piece of paper that’s just waiting for me to carefully write out my goals for the next year.
Tailored Sportsman colored breeches are 20% off at Rick’s Heritage Saddlery until TODAY, so you better finish reading my pick six and get shopping! Sorry I couldn’t notify you about this sale earlier, but we just heard about it too. Get shopping… you could ALWAYS use another pair of breeches (or you can just say Estelle from Plaid Horse said you needed another pair, I’ll take the blame.)
With the new year just around the corner, my resolution for 2018 is to set more goals for everything – specifically riding! The View Halloo journal seems like the PERFECT way for me to do that. TPH Ambassador Kristyna Lukacova is on top of it with another awesome blog post, so make sure you read her equestrian competition journal review and get yourself one of these journals!
“As a high school student and equestrian athlete, time management and organization have become a crucial component to my recent success. I am currently enrolled in four advanced placement courses, completing college applications and taking part in five honors societies. I am also the proud owner of four horses whom I care for and train myself.”
It’s no secret here on Pick Six that I LOVE a good podcast, and the Plaidcast is no exception! On this week’s episode, Piper and Sissy are joined by Lindsay Maxwell and Bill Rube of the Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund. Lindsay is a talented amateur who loves this sport, so it’s great to hear her speak on this podcast! Tune in each Saturday for a new episode of the Plaidcast.
5. TPH Snapchat – @theplaidhorse
As a teenager with the super cool job that I have, I probably spend a good amount of my day on social media – Snapchat being no exception. Before I became Media Chair, I was an Intern for a little over two years and spent lots of barn days taking over The Plaid Horse Snapchat account. On the TPH Snapchat account, different Interns take you through a show or barn day with them! Intern takeover days are super fun because you can get an inside look into their barn life, and directly interact by asking questions. Add TPH on Snapchat by the handle @theplaidhorse, Happy Snapping!
It’s no secret… our comfy line of clothing is a huge hit! Susan from Saddle Seeks Horse had great things to say about her TPH Limited Edition Long Sleeve Tee. Comfortable and functional from everything from the walking the dog to riding her OTTB, Susan shares great details about the shirt on her review.
The moment I first touched my white Plaid Horse tee sent to me for this review I knew I liked it. The material is soft, the fit not too baggy, not too clingy, and the logo is tasteful.
Tune in weekly for TPH Media Chair Estelle Kraft’s Pick Six of the latest and greatest happening in the equine industry. And as always, head to https://theplaidhorse.com/read/ to read the latest blogs, press releases and more!
