Wellington, FL (January 23, 2018) — During the second week of the 39th annual Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida, Omega Alpha Pharmaceuticals, Inc., awarded its Healthy Horse Award to Into The Grey, “Jake.”
The 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood is owned by Carriage Hill Farms of Del Ray, Florida. Arly Golombek rode Jake in the 3’3” Green Hunters and received the Healthy Horse Award as she exited the ring. She described her ride as good but said a minor error in the second class cost them a few points.
“I made a little mistake in the second class and he let me know because he made a swap. Technically that’s a few points off,” she said. “He was absolutely perfect in the first class.”
Golombek was excited to receive the honor and said she uses Omega Alpha’s products to keep her horses healthy and in peak performance condition. “Thank you for the award, and always making great products”, Golombek said. Omega Alpha Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a Toronto-based company that has been a leader in producing all-natural formulations for enhancing equine health and performance since 1992. The company sponsors the Winter Equestrian Festival and looks for horses that best exemplify Omega Alpha’s priority of excellent health on the Wellington, Florida show grounds.
As winner of the Healthy Horse Award, Jake and Golombek received an Omega Alpha cooler and multiple Omega Alpha award-winning health products. The products have been developed using botanical ingredients through research-based science. She appreciates receiving the award and looks forward to using the products included in the giveaway.
In addition to using Omega Alpha products, she said forage plays a significant role in keeping Jake and her other horses healthy. “I feed a lot of hay, grass and forage,” she said. “The horses get turn out as much as possible and hand walks.”
In 2017, Jake was the Spring Circuit Champion. As for the coming year Golombek looks forward to moving Jake up to 3’6” and potentially riding him in field hunter week. “Maybe we’ll play in a few derbies. It should be quite fun,” she said.
