Local New York Artists BLACKOUT, Victory Boyd, and More Electrify the Weekend with Live Music and DJ Sets
New York – April 5, 2018 – EEM, creators of the international Longines Masters Series, announced the much-anticipated entertainment lineup for the four-day Longines Masters of New York, which will take place April 26-29 at NYCB Live, Home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The international show jumping event will feature a star-studded lineup of live musical performances and DJ sets throughout the debut of the Longines Masters of New York, highlighted by Saturdaynight’s Sam Edelman After Party in the Prestige Village, performances by New York-based artists, including BLACKOUT, Victory Boyd, Michelle Cleary, Regina Wilson, and more. Longines is the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the Longines Masters Series.
Combining unparalleled sport with the top-ranked show jumpers in the world and the best of luxury lifestyle, the Longines Masters of New York offers fun and entertainment for the entire family. Between all the heart-pounding action, guests will be able to visit the massive 60,000 square-foot Prestige Village to shop equestrian boutiques and premium brands such as Longines, Mark Cross, Hermès Sellier, and Sam Edelman, view one-of-a-kind artwork from Helmholz Fine Art Gallery, Jen Brandon Studio and Donna B., and more.
Musical performances and DJ sets will fill the Prestige Village with toe-tapping beats throughout the entire event, creating an exciting, immersive cultural experience for spectators. Singer, songwriter and producer Victory Boyd will bring down the house on Friday, igniting the audience ahead of the Longines Speed Challenge, considered the fastest show jumping competition in the world.
In addition to the New York talent, female rock electric string quartet Phat Strad will electrify Saturday with acoustic live sets throughout the day, playing classical, operatic, adult contemporary, classic rock, dance/electronic, and the most-requested pop hits from the 80s through today. The group has opened for artists such as Robin Thicke, Kelly Clarkson, Bon Jovi, John Mayer, and Train and will similarly set the stage for BLACKOUT. Fittingly a local New York-based a cappella group, BLACKOUT is reinventing the genre of a cappella music with innovative arrangements and a distinct, signature sound. The group’s high-energy performances with a contemporary twist will rock both the Prestige Village and the arena with a pop-up performance Saturday evening.
After the top riders from Europe and the U.S. battle it out in a brand-new duel-style competition, the Riders Masters Cup, which promises to have the fans on their feet and cheering for their team, the excitement will continue at the Sam Edelman After Party in the Prestige Village, which will have the crowds “dancing their hooves off” in their Sam Edelman shoes as the Barons de Rothschild champagne flows late into the night.
Local New York-based artists will perform the National Anthem ahead of each marquee show jumping class. Brooklyn-based firefighter Regina Wilson will also be performing the National Anthem during the weekend as a tribute to those who serve in the new home of the American leg of the international Longines Masters Series, which started Season III in Paris and Hong Kong. Wilson was only the 12th African-American woman to join the FDNY, and during the September 11th attacks, she was on the scene as one of the first responders to the World Trade Center.
Additional performers will include singer, songwriter, and professional anthem singer Michelle Cleary, who has performed at Madison Square Garden over 30 times and sung the National Anthem for Rangers hockey, Knicks basketball, Big East Tournament games, HBO’s PPV Calzaghe vs. Jones Jr. World Championship boxing match, a NY Yankees’ ALDS playoff game, and more. The Long Island Children’s Choir, whose mission is to unite children in song, to instill confidence, creativity, and cooperation, and to encourage a sense of philanthropy in each of their young artists, will perform ahead of Sunday’s Longines Grand Prix, the most prestigious competition of the Longines Masters of New York.

A passionate of equestrian sports, Christophe Ameeuw – CEO of EEM and Founder of the Longines Masters Paris-Hong Kong-New York Series – founded the Ecuries d’Ecaussinnes in 1997. Based in Belgium, the stables are internationally reputed for their activities in trading sport horses and high-standard breeding. They are also home to an offering some of the best teaching available in the field. In opening EEM, Christophe Ameeuw and his teams were in pursuit of a challenge: to reinvent show jumping by organizing equestrian events of an entirely new kind. The company built its development by creating the concept of the “Masters”, which together, under the same roof, the best of show-jumping, resplendent displays and art de vivre. After the successes of the Audi Masters in Brussels and the Gucci Masters in Paris, EEM came out with one of the world’s most prestigious equestrian events, the Longines Masters Series, on three continents, in Paris, Hong Kong and New York. Inspired by the Grand Slam in Tennis, EEM created a concurrent “Grand Slam Indoor of Show Jumping”, approved by the FEI, this intercontinental challenge is offered to the world’s elite in show jumping, with two prize levels: The Super Grand Slam – a €2,250,000 super bonus for the three consecutive wins in the Longines Grand Prix, in the season order – The Grand Slam – a €1,000,000 bonus for three successive victories at Longines Grand Prix straddling two Longines Masters seasons.
In 2017, EEM created a new iconic competition, the Riders Masters Cup. Offered to the public alongside the EEF (European Equestrian Federation) and alternating between Europe and the United States, this battle pits the world’s two leading powers in show jumping against one another: Europe and the United States. On the Asian continent, “Asia Horse Week”, rallying point for the international equestrian community there, also serves as a prime setting for the Longines Masters of Hong Kong, illustrating EEM’s determination to develop the sport’s international arms in the Asia-Pacific Region. Firmly set on putting equestrian sports front and center and making them accessible to all, EEM rolled out a new digital TV channel on November 14, 2017. EEM.tv offers viewers the chance to follow live and free of charge all EEM events worldwide.
