Lotters of Long Shadows Farm Certified in Equine Gestalt Coaching Method

Arlene Lotters expands services offered for people at Long Shadows Farm horse sanctuary.

Cambridge and Lake George, NY- Arlene Lotters of Long Shadows Charitable Foundation and Long Shadows Farm in Cambridge, NY has completed her certification in the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method and will be offering her services at Long Shadows Farm beginning July 2018. Equine Gestalt Coaching is a personal coaching method using Gestalt guided methods while interacting with horses.

Lotters, an accomplished attorney and lifetime horse lover, purchased Long Shadows Farm with her husband Paul in 2014. Their goal was to create a place where horses and humans could be healed. Now, a horse sanctuary operated by Long Shadows Charitable Foundation, the farm is home to 15 horses and serves as a horse rescue, horse rehabilitation center, and lifetime home for those horses not able to transition to new owners.

“My husband Paul and I fell in love with the secluded and peaceful nature of the horse farm and felt it would lend itself perfectly to rescuing horses and providing programs for women and veterans and young people in need of healing and transformational programs,” said Lotters. “Then I discovered Equine Gestalt Coaching and saw exactly how I could help people to discover the strength and happiness within themselves with horses as their guides.”

At Long Shadows Farm, Arlene Lotters offers her services to individuals and groups who want to experience the healing transformation through Equine Gestalt Coaching.

“Equine Gestalt Coaching is not intimidating in any way and one needs no experience at all with horses to participate,” added Lotters. “It creates self-awareness and an ability to focus on the present putting past experiences in perspective. The connection that we naturally have with horses takes over any self-consciousness so that we are free to grow and heal from the process.”

“Clients learn to become more aware of how their own negative thought patterns and behaviors are blocking true self-awareness and happiness.”
