Dr. Piper Klemm joins the Board of Directors of the Freedom Horse Show Series

Dr. Piper Klemm, owner and publisher of The Plaid Horse magazine, has joined the Board of Directors of the Freedom Horse Show Series effective immediately. Founded in 2014, the Freedom Series is an association of individual horse shows dedicated to offering high-quality, fun, friendly and affordable hunter and jumper shows in the Mid-Atlantic region. The horse shows offer hunter and jumper classes and are committed to a positive experience for horse and rider. The 2018 calendar featured 29 member shows and the 2019 calendar is currently filling up with another robust year of showing. Through participation in member shows, exhibitors can qualify for the Colonial Classic Horse Show held in the storied Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA.

Dr. Klemm is excited about becoming involved with the project. “Growing up in Chester County, many of these still-running shows were the first shows I ever attended. Moving up the divisions with my young pony, I was able to experience all the perks of local horse showing – lots of great venues, people, and experience for both of us at reasonable costs. As our sport grows at all levels, bringing in new people in a manner that is accessible is paramount. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the Freedom Show Series to promote the growth of our industry and continue to make an experience that is rewarding and healthy for our horses and their people.”

Co-Chairperson of the Board of Directors, Nancy Moffitt, is pleased with the addition to the board. “Freedom’s focus on providing high-quality, fun and affordable hunter and jumper shows with strong emphasis on customer service and horsemanship is closely aligned with Piper Klemm’s dynamic leadership at The Plaid Horse,” said Nancy Moffitt, co-chairwoman of the board at Freedom. “Piper is an incredibly successful entrepreneur whose myriad of skills Freedom can only benefit from. We are honored to have her!”
