Shannon Hicks Wins InIt2WinIt Qualifier at the Lake St. Louis Hunter Jumper Show

Omaha, NE – November 13, 2018 – Shannon Hicks wowed her hometown crowd of St. Louis Saturday night placing first and fifth at the Lake St. Louis Hunter Jumper Show and qualifying for the $100,000 InIt2WinIt Speed Jumping Series Final at International Omaha next April.

 

Hicks rode into first place riding Clearwater 5 and winning the $20,000 prize and placed fifth with Emir D with a time of 66.736. Coming off her recent win at the World Equestrian Center Grand Prix, Lisa Goldman placed two horses in St. Louis, Sovereign came in second place and Hindsight in third with a time of 65.917. Goldman is no stranger to Omaha having ridden in the first International Omaha InIt2WinIt Jumping Final in 2017.

 

There was room for three other riders to place and qualify for the final: Eric Martin riding Cameleon placed fourth, Doug Boyd and Berkley III placed sixth with a time of 68.933 and rounding out at number seven was Sarah Meier riding Chanel.
The following riders have qualified to compete in the $100,000 InIt2WinIt Final in Omaha:

The goal of the Omaha Equestrian Foundation is to bring high caliber international equestrian competition to the Midwest. Eligibility to ride in the $100,000 InIt2WinIt Speed Jumping Series Final at the International Omaha on April 5, 2019, is determined by four qualifying events held in Houston, Kansas City, St. Louis and Denver. Five riders from each qualifying event will earn the right to compete in the final. The final qualifying event is at the National Western Stock Show January 18, 2019, in Denver.
The International Omaha, April 4-7, 2019 will be held at the CHI Health Center Omaha arena and convention center, site of the highly acclaimed 2017 FEI World Cup™ Finals. In addition to the InIt2WinIt Championship, the event will feature a $100,000 Grand Prix in jumping and a Dressage Team Challenge featuring grand prix, freestyle, youth and amateur riders. Spectators will also enjoy outstanding shopping, demonstrations, educational exhibits, entertainment and dining, all under one roof.
