The Plaid Horse Editor in Chief Sissy Wickes to present at the College Preparatory Invitational

Sissy Wickes, editor in chief of The Plaid Horse magazine and USEF “R” judge will be speaking at the College Preparatory Invitational program at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, on January 17, 2019. Her talk, “What Judges are Really Looking For,” will be featured during the educational program that evening.

Wickes is a lifelong equestrian and Princeton graduate. She serves on the USHJA Board of Directors and travels all over the country as a judge. She also works as a freelance journalist and autism advocate. In addition to serving as the editor in chief of The Plaid Horse, she co-hosts their weekly podcast, The Plaidcast, with Plaid Horse Publisher Piper Klemm.

The College Preparatory Invitational offers young equestrians the opportunity to explore the college preparatory experience through through a comprehensive education, scholarship, competition, and community service program.

During the CPI event, riders experience the college equestrian competition format and win scholarships in hunt seat equitation competition; they can explore an equestrian-focused college fair, attend educational presentations and take advantage of the opportunity for direct conversations with college admissions representatives and equestrian team coaches.
