Lily Goldstein and Zing finished with an impressive second in their National Horse Show Medal class, but they were first in the eyes of Omega Alpha when it came time to announce the Omega Alpha Healthy Horse Award winner for Week 2 at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.
The 14 year-old equestrian from Argyle, Texas was all smiles as she posed with her 17-hand Dutch Warmblood gelding, Zing, who was sporting his new rosette neck sash and Healthy Horse Award Winner cooler, while Lily accepted her Omega Alpha tote bag full of products from the company trusted since 1992 with producing effective supplements through science.
“This is my first year competing at WEF. I’m really happy about this award, thank you,” said the teen rider, who trains out of South Haven Farms. A year earlier, Zing was discovered through the recommendation of another of Lily’s trainers, John French, and the rest, she says, is history: “I fell in love with him!”
What’s ahead for this happy horse and rider? Making more memories together at WEF of course, and then, she hopes, “Some bigger Medal and Maclay finals ahead!”
