Knoxville, TN. – Horse Haven of Tennessee is launching a new campaign using social media platforms to raise awareness and funds for the popular equine rescue.
The organization hopes that the use of Patreon will encourage regular giving, big or small.
Patreon is a simple format that allows donors to commit to a small (or large) monthly donation geared towards supporting the organization with the resources necessary to rescue, re-habilitate and ultimately rehome horses from the 95 counties in TN that the organization supports.
Staff and volunteers will begin sharing the link to the Horse Haven Patreon today on Facebook to kick off a campaign of stability for the organization. The funds will be used for everyday supplies, hay and grain, veterinary care and any and all costs associated with making the horses healthy and adoptable.
Matthew Lawson, a member of the Horse Haven Team stated: “Social media and online platforms are an amazing tool for the organization. They allow us to tell the stories of the animals we rescue, they connect our community and they hopefully will inspire the community to get involved by donating. The community can get involved on a monthly basis for the price of a cup of coffee”
Horse Haven of Tennessee was founded in 1999 and has rescued and rehabilitated over 1000 horses over the past twenty years. The organization’s hopes are that Tennesseans all over the state will see the value of the program and feel inspired to get involved. Currently the state has contracts with ACCAT to provide monetary support to county and municipal animal shelters but no such programs exist for neglected or abused equines yet.
If this and other fundraising programs are successful Horse Haven of Tennessee hopes to serve the state of Tennessee for another twenty years by expanding its current programs, increasing outreach and increasing their intake numbers.
Horse Haven encourages the public to begin their involvement by checking out their facebook page @HorseHavenofTN to access the Patreon link.
