
Wellington, FL – September 17, 2019 – The ESP Fall Series continued with the ESP September competition this past weekend at Equestrian Village. The $10,000 Lactanase 1.35m Open Stake saw 18 total entries compete for a spot on the podium. Selcuk Koksalan of Wellington, FL flew to victory aboard his entry, Carla after a 33.15-second jump-off round. Luis Larrazabal of Wellington, FL and Cassini Miraflores, owned by San Francisco Stables, LLC, were the only other pair to complete the second round, finishing in 33.739 seconds. Third place went to Tanimara Macari of Mexico, FL after she piloted Clio S around the first round in 71.357 seconds.
Course designer, Leopoldo Palacious of Venezuela, built the Sunday track which saw only two combinations complete the jump-off round. Koksalan and his nine-year-old mare also had the fastest time in the first course with 69.16 seconds. Francesca Damasceno of Palm Beach Gardens, FL rode Maidensway’s Cello Capital to a fourth-place finish after the pair’s first round time of 72.284 seconds with five faults added to their score, while the recent Open Stake champion Samuel Parot of Wellington, FL claimed fifth place after his 73.293-second round aboard Bahira S with six total faults added to their score.
Jumper Highlights
Earlier in the day, Alexia Thermiotis of Southwest Ranchs, FL championed the $2,500 Equiline Low Junior/Amateur Owner Jumper Stake riding her entry Orlando 267 through the timers in 35.171 seconds, while Emerson Lane of Miami, FL and Danielle Torano’s Chantara finished the jump-off in 31.993 seconds with four faults. Kylie Clarkson of Emory, TX claimed third place aboard her mount, Ideale By Marstyl after completing round two in 37.46 seconds and with eight faults added to their score.
The $1,500 M&S Child/Adult Amateur Jumper Classic presented by Dover Saddlery saw Gabriella Curry of X ride Chaviana to victory in 50.86 seconds and with eight total faults. Elizabeth Suddath of Land O Lakes, FL and her Super Star took home the red ribbon after a first-round time of 68.949 seconds, while Doris Neyra of Miami Beach, FL piloted Equi-Sport, LLC’s entry, E.S. Diathago 2 to a third-place position in 67.97 seconds and with four faults.

Alexa Curry of Plantation, FL and Zanziboy were awarded the blue ribbon of the CCTV Agent $250 .85m Jumper Classic after crossing through the timers in 27.442 seconds. Leeann Ablin’s Tee Time helped Amy Foster of Coconut Creek, FL claim the second-place position with a 29.311-second jump-off, while Nicole Bicchiarelli of Key Biscayne, FL piloted her Vertigo around the second round in 29.526 seconds.
The $1,500 Low Child/Adult Amateur Jumper Classic presented by French Horse Exports saw Evita Fabiani of Boynton Beach, FL and Rebonita LS La Silla, owned by San Francisco Stables, LLC, complete the jump-off in a quick 32.737 seconds to claim the first-place position, while Charlotte Clivio of Miami, FL took home second place aboard Helen Krieble’s Carrara 11 after a 29.634-second jump-off and four faults added to their score. In third place stood Catherine Hayek of Jupiter, FL riding Caton, owned by Bernardo Tosto, once they completed the first round in 85.962 seconds and with two faults added.
Hunter Highlights
In the Hunter ring, Olivia Sweetnam of Wellington, FL took home the blue ribbon in the $500 Small Pony Hunter Classic aboard Sweet Oak Farm’s Mr. Magoo with a final score of 166. Lauren Gee of Valdosta, GA and Briar Field Farm LLC & Montoga Inc.’s Just Enuff finished close behind with a final score of 158. Lauren Studstill of Lakeland, GA rode Bit of Laughter, owned by Augusta Iwasaki, to the third-place position.
Olivia Sweetnam once again bested the field in the $500 Medium/Large Pony Hunter Classic, this time riding On Your Mark, owned by Sweet Oak Farm with a final combined score of 169. Lauren Gee and Madeline Jordan’s Shamrock claimed the red ribbon after a combined score of 164, while Riley McKesson of Wellington, FL piloted her entry, Minted to third.
The Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Child/Adult Hunter division saw Emma Hetchtman of Tampa, FL rose to the top of the leaderboard riding Popish Farms, LLC’s To The Point, while Kingsley Dey of Kailua, HI and Portofino, owned by Lucky Dey Farm, claimed reserve.
Lauren Studstill of Lakeland, FL captured the champion position with I Love You A Latte in The Wanderers Club Children’s Pony Hunter division, while reserve champion was awarded to Lauren Gee of Valdosta, GA and Tranquility’s OMG, owned by Lucky Farm.
Ella Bostwick of Wellington, FL piloted Belle-Aire, owned by Fallen Oak Farm, LLC, to victory in the #1 Education Place Junior Hunter/Amateur Owner 3’3” & 3’6” division, while Ashley Briggs of Loxahatchee, FL and her entry, Harbor Walk took home the reserve ribbon.
The Pilates Rocks Low Adult Amateur Hunter division named Liza Berger of Parkland, FL both the champion and reserve champion after her performances aboard Bon Ami, owned by AM Sport Horses South, Inc. and Chloe, owned by East Wind Farms, LLC respectively. The Pilates Rocks Low Children’s Hunter division was championed by Rachel Nichols of Jupiter, FL and Renee Eddy’s Tuxedo Royale, while Kylie Elias of Boca Raton, FL piloted her entry, Be My Date to reserve.
Molly Sewell of Winter Park, FL captured the champion title in the Performance 3’6” & 3’3” division aboard Leslie Campbell’s Inverness, while Hayley Iannotti of Boca Raton, FL and Czech Mate, owned by Pumpkin’s Patch Farm, LLC took home reserve.
Mastering the Score At The Top Large Pony Hunter division was Riley McKesson of Wellington, FL and her Minted, while Rachel Lomel of Ocala, FL claimed the reserve title aboard Woodlands Lightning Thief, owned by Megan Galloway.
Olivia Sweetnam returned to the winner’s circle to collect the champion ribbon in the Score At The Top Medium Pony Hunter division with On Your Mark, owned by Sweet Oak Farm. Riley McKesson joined Sweetnam once again with her mount, Hopscoth to take the reserve ribbon.
The Score At The Top Small Pony Hunter division awarded Olivia Sweetnam and Sweet Oak Farm’s Mr. Magoo the champion position, while Allison Coleman of Wellington, FL claimed reserve with her Smoke Tree Starlet.
Maggie Gould of Wellington, FL bested the competition in the USHJA Hunter 2’ & 2’6” division, claiming champion aboard Klooney, owned by Lisa Petersen, and reserve champion aboard San Sebastian, owned by Marlen Rouco.
The USHJA Hunter 2’9” & 3’ division presented by Marshall & Sterling named Molly Sewell champion after another great performance with Inverness, while Chrystal Knight of Wellington, FL piloted In Luck, owned by Leah Patipa, to a reserve finish.
Mackenzie Slattery of Lake Worth, FL took home the champion ribbon in the Walk Trot division riding her entry, Miss Elizabeth Swan, while Saylor Gross of West Palm Beach, FL received the reserve champion award with her Blue Melody.
The ESP Summer Series, hosted at Equestrian Village, will continue through September 29.
