BURBANK, Calif.– Langer Equestrian Group is proud to host five medal finals at Gold Coast October, including the USHJA Zone 10 Medal Challenge South. It was Julie Knoop trained by Rainbow Canyon Ranch who topped the 3’ USHJA Zone 10 Stirrup Cup Medal Final. The medal final is open to riders who have placed first or second in any equitation or medal class 3’3” or under during the current show year.

Julie piloted her longtime partner, Cazbah, a nine-year-old Holsteiner gelding to the win. “My horse was a little bit bright at first but he’s such a good boy,” she said. “I love the format of this medal final because it’s held over one day and incorporates both jumping and flat equitation. The course was challenging, and the flat phase really made you work.”

The flat work-off asked the riders to show a variety of skills, including collecting and extending various gates– even extending the sitting trot. Ayanna Kimbro, trained by Leslie Figge, earned the reserve championship aboard her Country Grammar.
