The final week of competition at the great Southwest Texas Winter series offers competitors more prize money than ever before. The Grand Prix competition on Saturday, February 22, 2020 will award the show’s first ever $100,000 prize. Week one awarded $25,000, while weeks two and three also had more money than previous years $50,000 each week to those willing to jump the biggest fences at the show.

Another exciting addition to the GSTWS jumper division was the new prize money of $10,000 added to the 1.25 Meter Jumper Classic.

The hunters also win big money at the Great Southwest Texas Winter Series, with an amazing $30,000 in rider bonuses to be awarded. This Saturday, an extra $15,000 will be paid out to the top five horse and rider combinations in the High Performance, Performance 3’6”, Green Hunter 3’9”, Green Hunter 3’6”, Green Conformation, High Performance Conformation hunters and the International Derby. A separate $10,000 rider bonus will be awarded in increments to the top 5 horses in the Green Hunter 3’, Green Hunter 3’3”, Performance 3’3” hunters, and the National Derby.

In addition, the Overall High Point horse and rider combination of the Texas Winter Series will be given a $5,000 bonus prize.

If that wasn’t enough, the Texas Super Stake Series at the GSTWS makes the Green Hunter and Performance divisions even more lucrative. The horses competing in the Super Stake win not only their share of the listed prize money but also 30 percent of the entry fees added back.

The final week of GSTWS 2020 promises to pay off big for riders, owners, and especially the spectators who get to enjoy watching the best competition in Texas.
