Across the globe, people are working together to help one another in times of crisis. That is nothing new in the equestrian community, whether it is fires, flood, or other needs, our community joins together to help each other.
As COVID-19 continues to spread, an influx of critical supplies is needed but suppliers are having a difficult time keeping up with the demand. Companies across the country are switching from their original manufacturing needs to make medical supplies to help fight the Coronavirus. Breweries and perfume factories are making hand sanitizer, people are using 3-D printing technology to create face shields, and people are donating extra supplies to people who need it.
EquiFit, is now turning their Dedham facility into a face mask production facility. EquiFit has teamed up with medical professionals in Boston to create patterns for a mask that can be made by their group of incredible stitchers.
The 3 layered masks are designed with two layers of 100% cotton and a layer of fabric made with AgSilver which helps guard against microbial growth. EquiFit is working on other potential solutions for the healthcare community.
