Dr. Piper Klemm, publisher of The Plaid Horse, will give a keynote address at The College Preparatory Invitational Horse Show on September 19, 2020 at The Ridge Farm in Asbury, New Jersey.
Dr. Klemm will speak about academics, equine entrepreneurship, and ways to utilize the tools and opportunity in your situation to achieve. She will preview her highly regarded college courses and discuss the metagame of the equestrian industry.
“I am looking forward to speaking at the College Preparatory Invitational and sharing my experience in the equine industry. I hope that I can help these young equestrians and give them advice that can help their dreams become a reality,” Klemm shared.

The College Preparatory Invitational (CPI) offers young equestrians (grades 8-12) the opportunity to explore the college equestrian experience through comprehensive education, competition, and scholarship/community service programs.
During the CPI event, athletes experience the college equestrian competition format and win scholarships in hunt seat equitation competition; they can explore an equestrian-focused college fair, attend educational presentations and take advantage of the opportunity for direct conversations with college admissions representatives and equestrian team coaches.
“We are excited to have Dr. Piper Klemm from Plaid Horse Magazine speak at CPI New Jersey. We feel that our student athletes can really relate to her and her story and that they walk away learning something. It is also a bonus that she takes the time to talk to most of our riders individually and answer questions they may have,” said Lindsay K. Martin, President of CPI.

It can be difficult to pick what college might be right for you, which is why the CPI event is so important. By giving athletes the chance to experience the college equestrian competition format, they are able to see if it is a good fit for them and can determine what school they want to attend or apply. At CPI there are opportunities to win scholarships in hunt seat equitation competition.
Throughout CPI, athletes can attend an equestrian-focused college fair, attend education presentations, such as Piper Klemm’s, and have the opportunity to have conversations with college admissions representatives and equestrian team coaches.
