
David Beisel and his own Azealia (Quintero x Salma) took top honors in the $7,500 Futures Prix 1.30m at the World Equestrian Center—Ohio Winter Classic 19, besting a field of 23 with a jump off time of 28.888. It was the second $7,500 Futures Prix win for Beisel and the 13-year-old Holsteiner mare in as many weeks.

Summer Hill and Hakuna Matata (Corland x Olrusa) owned by Ashland Farms grabbed a second place finish in this afternoon’s class, with a jump off time of 29.992. Hill of Lexington, Kentucky, and the 9-year-old gray KWPN mare stopped the timers in just 33.798 seconds. Earlier this week the pair earned a third place finish in the $5,000 World Equestrian Center Welcome Stake.

Rounding out the top three in the class So Live Helau and Keely McIntosh negotiated a clear jump off round with a time of 30.166 seconds. McIntosh and So Live Helau (Dollar Du Murier x Ador De La Crasne) have a strong history of top placings at the World Equestrian Center. A 15-year-old Selle Francais gelding, So Live Helau is owned by Jenny Booth of Booth Show Jumpers, Georgetown, Kentucky.
