A competitive field of 18 horse and rider combinations took to the Sanctuary Arena Saturday, April 24 to vie for the win in the World Equestrian Center $25,000 Grand Prix. Jumping a course designed by Keith Bollotte, seven pairs qualified for the jump off, with of five of them delivering fault free rounds. Ultimately speed determined the winners, Ryan Genn and VDL Gerinus T, who topped the class with a jump off time of 34.390 seconds.

No strangers to the winner’s circle at World Equestrian Center, Genn and VDL Gerinus T (Arezzo VDL x Rosalina) earned their victory tonight with a jump off time of just 34.390. Earlier in the week, Genn and the 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Rheinland Farm, Lebanon, Ohio, finished 5th in the $5,000 Welcome Stake.
Perennial favorites Essince W and David Beisel of David Beisel Stables in Goshen, Ohio, snagged the second place spot tonight with a jump off time of 34.544. Always competitive, Beisel and Essince W (Chacco Blue x Rossan) moved up a spot from their 3rd place finish in last week’s $25,000 Grand Prix.

Kady Abrahamson and Maraca LS La Silla (Quintero La Silla x Marimba La Silla) of Abrahamson Equestrian LLC, Georgetown, Kentucky, secured a third place finish in the class with a jump off time of 36.448. Abrahamson and the 14-year-old Belgian Warmblood previously won a Grand Prix win at the World Equestrian Center 2020 Summer Series.
