
June 11, 2021, Lincoln, NE – The Dressage Foundation is set to award $85,000 in 2021 to FEI-Level dressage athletes through several grant opportunities. Thanks to generous donors, TDF provides financial assistance to United States riders who plan to reach and excel at the elite, international standards of high-performance dressage.
$25,000 Carol Lavell Advanced Dressage Prize: Due August 31, the Lavell Advanced Dressage Prize will award up to two grants of $25,000 to riders who are U.S. citizens, over the age of 21, who aspire to “climb the high-performance mountain.” Recipients will be selected by a distinguished panel of national dressage leaders. Former recipients include Laura Graves, Adrienne Lyle, Olivia LaGoy-Weltz, and Sabine Schut-Kery, among others.
$25,000 Anne L. Barlow Ramsay Grant for U.S.-Bred Horses: Due August 15, the Ramsay Grant was created to showcase talented U.S.-bred horses ridden by U.S. citizens. This grant will provide funds to train or compete in Europe or in Wellington, FL. Applicants should be competing in Prix St. Georges or higher and be an ambassador for the American-bred horse. Past recipients include James Koford, Jennifer Williams, and Lisa Wilcox, among others.

$10,000Debbie McDonald Fund for Pacific Northwest (Region 6) FEI Riders: Due June 30, the Debbie McDonald Grant Fund was established to assist Pacific Northwest riders to pursue their goal of representing Team USA on the podium. Past recipients include Jennifer Williams and Stephen Birchall.
“Now, with the Tokyo Olympic Games on the near horizon and Team USA in the process of being chosen, the importance of our high-performance athletes feels so important. The Dressage Foundation is deeply honored to be able to offer these grant opportunities to those athletes who are striving for greatness,” said TDF’s President and CEO, Beth Baumert.
