Lexington, KY (August 11, 2021) – USEF Pony Finals is the ultimate dream for the next generation of competitive equestrians, with hundreds of ponies and their jockeys descending on Kentucky Horse Park for a week of pint-sized hunter and jumper courses. Presented by Honor Hill Farms, this year’s Pony Finals has been a highly anticipated event for Brynn Garrett, who qualified her pony Odyssey Cassiopeia, aka Cassidy. Brynn’s parents, Brian Garrett, DVM and Taryn Garrett, recently switched their entire barn of hunter jumper ponies and horses to Hygain Feeds, and have found that the brand’s line of innovative equine nutrition have provided a multitude of benefits, from sleeker condition to helping maintain soundness.

This will be Brynn’s first ever Pony Finals. She and the dark bay Welsh mare bred by Odessey Farm tackled their first ever Pony Derby in May, scoring an 83 in the first round. They were Reserve Champion at Tryon in the Small Green Pony Hunters and 3rd in the Classic to qualify for USEF Pony Finals 2021. Cassidy currently is fed 2 cups of Hygain ZERO® and 1 cup of Hygain BALANCED®, with a handful of SHOWTORQUE® before performances for extra power!

As an equine veterinarian, Dr. Garrett was fascinated by Hygain’s unique ingredients and time-tested formulas, and was ultimately prevailed upon to try the Australian horse feed. “After having our horses and ponies on Hygain for a few months, there were some obvious improvements,” said Dr. Garrett. “Right off the bat it was shinier coats and better hooves. But we noticed a big change in our ponies condition. It can be a challenge to feed ponies and easy keepers, especially for high performance. Hygain ZERO®, a complete low starch, low sugar feed, has given the ponies performance condition without adding too much weight. ZERO® has also been fantastic for our older horses, to keep them fit and deliver the nutrition they need without adding pounds that could be detrimental to their health. We have an XXXL pony that gets the same amount of grain as Cassidy, minus the SHOWTORQUE®. It really shows how the nutrition is delivered in smaller quantities and keeps the ponies healthy. All of Hygain’s feeds are excellent and ZERO® is a game-changer for horses with metabolic conditions or ponies competing at this level.”

Now available in hundreds of feed stores around the United States, Hygain is the preferred feed of top riders in every discipline from dressage to racing. Visit www.HygainFeeds.com to learn more!
