West Palms Events Hosts CPHA Medal Finals at Silicon Valley Equestrian Festival at the Horse Park at Woodside

WOODSIDE, Calif. – West Palms Events was honored to host the California Professional Horsemen Association (CPHA) Northern California Finals during the second week of the Silicon Valley Equestrian Festival! CPHA members competed in the Northern Style of Riding Medal Final, Horsemanship Medal Final, and Child/Adult Medal Final.

CPHA Northern Style of Riding Championship

Grace Belmont and her own Quirin trained by Cassie Belmont sealed the victory in the CPHA Northern Style of Riding Championship! Grace had an impressive weekend at the Silicon Valley Equestrian Festival, including her medal final win.

“It was so much fun to win today,” she commented. “The Northern Style of Riding is a really fun medal final with a really unique format which makes it really exciting.”

CPHA Horsemanship Medal Final

Sixteen-year-old Emma Wright and her own Monarch Bay trained by Cassie Belmont emerged victorious in the CPHA Horsemanship Medal Final. Emma received special gifts including a custom cooler from Damoors Tack and Feed and a $1,000 West Palms Events Scholarship to use toward horse showing in 2022.

“It felt really good to win,” Emma said. “It was my first ever medal final and I have been working really hard to get here, so it feels amazing to get a big win.”

CPHA Child/Adult Medal Final

Amateur rider Alexandra Myers and her own Quintessential trained by Round Meadow Farm came out on top of the CPHA Child/Adult Medal Final. For her victory, Alexandra took home a custom cooler from Damoors Tack and Feed and a $1,000 West Palms Events Scholarship.

“It was so fantastic to win. We were reserve champions in this final in 2019 so I was excited to build on that foundation,” she said. “I have had Quincy for five years now and I was glad to show him in this final again.”

Alexandra has enjoyed being part of CPHA over the years. “I love being able to improve my skills each year,” she noted. “I am looking forward to moving up to the 3’3″ next year and I appreciate all of the opportunities that CPHA provides.”

At the CPHA Medal Finals Draw Party hosted by Millennium Farm, medal finalists enjoyed a presentation and Q &A with equestrian mental skills coach, Tonya Johnston. Thank you to Mountain Mercantile for supplying the fantastic draw prizes!
