November 9, 2021 – The Plaid Horse will be an exhibitor at Equine Affaire Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Massachusetts. It will take place November 11-14, 2021. Equine Affaire is North America’s premiere equine exposition and equestrian gathering and a unique celebration of the horse offering unparalleled education, entertainment, and shopping opportunities.
Also sharing The Plaid Horse booth will be fellow podcaster Alicia Harlov of The Humble Hoof. Alicia is a full time hoof care provider on the North Shore of Massachusetts, and a member of Progressive Hoofcare Practitioners.
Alicia creates and edits The Humble Hoof podcast, where she interviews equine professionals about factors that affect hoof health. She loves educating owners on how to grow the healthiest hoof possible and believes that getting a horse sound is often a matter of finding the right pieces to the puzzle.
“I am excited to be able to meet with equestrian fans and answer their questions.” said Piper Klemm, Ph.D., Publisher of The Plaid Horse. “The growth and advancement of this sport is precedent, being able to be a part of a great event such as Equine Affaire is vital for the future.”
Piper Klemm will be hosting a meet and greet during the weekend. In addition, free magazines will be available for pickup for anyone who is interested in The Plaid Horse.
The Plaid Horse will have the Show Strides series available at the booth, featuring the 4th installment, Testing Friendships, of the Show Strides book series. As well as previous installments, School Horses and Ponies, Confidence Comeback and Moving Up & Moving On.

About Show Strides
Show Strides is a middle grade novel series about riding, showing, horsemanship, and the special friendships we form with our animals and fellow horse lovers. Set on the sprawling grounds of a large hunter jumper barn, the series features a diverse range of characters, from the lesson kid to the A-rated show regular, and everyone in between. While the reading level is appropriate for young riders, the series has fans of all ages! Read more about our books, including excerpts from all four novels, at www.theplaidhorse.com/show-strides/.
