MTM Sandwich, or “Reuben,” is a 15-year-old Westphalian gelding who has been owned by Klemm for three years. Klemm trains with Carleton and Traci Brooks at Balmoral Farm, while also receiving assistance from Emily Elek at Stonewall Farm in the off-season.

“It feels really great for Reuben to get the recognition he deserves,” says Dr. Klemm. “I’ve had a good trip here and there, but to put together a whole division has been elusive, so I’m really happy. Reuben is a part of the family and is always game to horse show and put his best foot forward. He is just a great all-around horse, and I am thankful for every ride I get on him.”

Klemm spends her winters at the Desert International Horse Park and has for 11 consecutive years.

“I love spending the winter circuit down in California. The Desert International Horse Park puts on a tremendous show that is well-run and fun for both spectators and exhibitors,” Klemm adds “I am looking forward to the rest of the season!”
