Saugerties, N.Y. – May 24, 2022 – HITS LLC, the leading producer of hunter/jumper competitions in the United States, is pleased to announce that lifelong horseman Britt McCormick will be joining its leadership as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). McCormick’s extensive experience as both a show manager and trainer, in addition to his leadership roles at US Equestrian (USEF) and the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA), make him an ideal addition to the HITS Team as they continue to elevate the brand and reinvigorate their world-class horse shows.
“I am very excited about joining the HITS team!” expressed McCormick. “Over 30 years ago, HITS and Tom revolutionized how hunter/jumper competitions were managed and conducted. From the first Million Dollar Grand Prix to the M&S League, HITS has always been the leader in innovation for our sport. I look forward to building on HITS’ successes and to further developing both the competition experience and the customer service experience at all of our locations.”
McCormick has been an owner, rider and trainer for over 25 years at Elmstead Farm LLC in Parker, Texas. He is a former managing partner of the Las Colinas Equestrian Center, and has been the show manager of Premier, National and local horse shows. McCormick has served as a licensed official at top horse shows across the country as both a judge and a course designer.
“Britt is an exciting addition to the new team that we are creating at HITS,” noted HITS CEO Tom Struzzieri. “His background as a trainer and show manager together with his involvement at USEF and USHJA will provide expert insight as we continue to address the things that we can improve at HITS. We are thrilled to begin working with Britt and creating a new path forward.”
