Edited Press Release

Custom equine facility and luxury home builder B&D Builders starts off the new year by promoting William Dietz to general manager and hiring William Phipps as relationship manager.

“The unique nature of our work relies on strong relationships and careful planning, so we must put the right people in these two positions,” says Ed Ferderbar, CEO of B&D Builders. “Our leadership team knows that the work required of these two positions are in good hands and have been filled by two very reliable and talented team members.”

WILL DIETZ PROMOTED TO GENERAL MANAGER

William Dietz has a long history with B&D Builders, beginning in 2005 on the shop floor and on job sites as a tradesman. Building skills alongside fellow colleagues, Dietz helped create and install components for luxury horse barns and custom residences across the Mid-Atlantic states and beyond. He then moved into supervisory and project management roles, seeing project after project come to completion. Among his favorite and most notable projects are the Star Barn restoration in Elizabethtown, PA, and the Riveredge equine facility in Chesapeake, MD.

As general manager, Dietz brings his trade experience and operations skills to bear on the company culture, working alongside each coworker to enhance growth, streamline processes, and ensure clients are served well.

WILL PHIPPS II HIRED AS RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

William Phipps comes to B&D Builders with an impressive list of equestrian qualifications and sales experience. His career includes: a decade as business development consultant for one of the largest horse transportation companies in the world; thoroughbred farm manager and farm trainer working under notable horsemen Jimmy Day and Tom Voss; assistant to hall of fame trainer Bill Mott; trainer for notable horse owners such as George Steinbrenner’s Kinsman Farm and Charlotte Weber’s Live Oak Plantation; and a five-year stint early on as an amateur steeplechase jockey. As relationship manager for B&D, Phipps is now responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and forging new ones with prospective clients. He works with the B&D team to identify clients’ needs and requirements, propose suitable solutions, and facilitate communication until client dreams become a reality.
