Forget Me Not Farm Raises Funds for Pediatric Cancer Research With an Evening of Equestrian Inspired Fashion—and Some Most Inspiring Models

By Caroline Mosebrook

What do you get when you combine heroic children with a fashion runway and a Wellington, FL farm?

Equestrians gathered at Forget Me Not Farm in Wellington FL, on Saturday, Jan. 29 for a most unique fashion show benefitting the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. The lead models were neither professional nor of the equine variety; instead, they were children, all of whom are either currently or have previously battled a form of pediatric cancer.

A few equestrian brands participated, showcasing the kids and their latest styles. More mainstream fashion was also showcased, thanks to an appearance from Dillards at the Mall at Wellington Green.

The children first walked the runway in an equestrian look, sporting brands like Struck and Tuff Rider, while being accompanied by a model. The kids brought the stage to life: Put simply, they rocked it, with bright grins lighting up their faces.

Dillards then put on a Greatest Showman-themed showcase, which presented their newest looks to the crowd. Their show confirmed: Beautiful, sparkly gowns and oversized coats are all the rage.

The children would return to the stage, each showcased individually with a professional involved in a career that he or she has interest in pursuing. This group was particularly special, with veterinarians, ballerinas, Miami Dolphins cheerleaders, construction workers, race car drivers and superheroes featured. Even professional equestrians Scott Stewart and Stephanie Mazer Lokey took the stage for this portion of the evening.

The night ended with a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Check out some photos from a most memorable evening:
