Haness Crosses $5 Million in Hunter Earnings

Nick Haness of Temecula, California, crossed $5 Million in Hunter Money Won with his recent first and second place in the $50,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby presented by Butet at the Desert International Horse Park. Money has been won in all hunter sections including USHJA National and International Derbies, the Green Hunter Incentive program, and all regular hunter division classes and classics. Recently Haness was 3rd in the WCHR Spectacular in Wellington with Queen Celeste, won both USHJA International Derbies at the Desert Horse Park with Estimated Prophet, and both 2022 $65,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby Southwest Regional Championship and $100,000 West Coast Hunter Spectacular on HH Elmo. His 2022 Accolades, including Grand Hunter Champion at The Devon Horse Show with Only Always, earned him The Chronicle of the Horse’s Show Hunter Person of 2022.

According to USHJA statistics, with his most recent wins Haness joins a club of $5 Million earners that includes Liza Boyd, Tori Colvin, Peter Pletcher, and John French. Alone in the $10 Million earner club is Kelley Farmer. Potentially joining the club in the coming years are Jen Alfano, Jenny Karazississ, Havens Schatt, and Hunt Tosh.
