Topping a field of 138 entries, Scott Stewart and the Rivers Edge entry Cerulean Blue took home the win in the second round of the 3′ – 3’3″ Green Section today at Green Incentive Finals. Stewart, riding out of Flemington, NJ, piloted the 2017 Oldenburg Stallion by Diaron (Diarado) to a total score of 273.00 points.

“Today was a lot of pressure because I made a mistake yesterday with him and he is one of my favorite horses, I had to be in the top ten today to make it to the Championship Round tomorrow so it was a little nerve racking,” Stewart said, “This is such a special event with so many great horses and riders, always you want to do your best. He is an amazing jumper – the feeling is incredible, the bigger the jumps – he is so scopey, and he is actually really simple to ride. He is only six years old, he came in the middle of WEF, was Reserve Circuit Champion, Champion here in Kentucky in May, and Champion at Upperville and that was the last time he showed.”

Frosted, a Rindy Dominguez entry out of Barrington, RI, took the red ribbon home today with Jennifer Hannan in the irons. Hannan and the 2014 Holsteiner Stallion by Connor (Casall) were just one point behind Stewart and Cerulean Blue’s score of 273.

The pair finished second yesterday as well, and with another beautiful trip today scored a 272 to end up second again today with two great trips under their belt going into the third and final Championship Round tomorrow.
