Sophie Gochman with Tage BH and Gabbie BH Wins August’s Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month Award Sponsored by Charles Ancona

Lexington, KY – September 8, 2023 – Sophie Gochman of New York, NY, has won the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month Award Sponsored by Charles Ancona for August.

Gochman competes in the Amateur Division of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series’ East Conference Presented by Rood & Riddle. She kicked off her busy, successful month with a second- and tenth-place finish in the $7,500 SJHOF High Junior/Amateur Classic at Great Lakes Equestrian Festival 5 aboard Tage BH and Gabbie BH, respectively. Then, at the Blue Grass Festival, she piloted Tage BH to top honors in the $7,500 High Junior/Amateur Classic, with Gabbie BH finishing not far behind in sixth place. These performances helped Gochman earn the Hall of Fame’s Rider of the Month Award for August while also securing the Horse of the Month Award for Tage BH.

The Show Jumping Hall of Fame conducts the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series with classes at approximately 80 horse shows each year. The Series hosts separate divisions for junior and amateur riders in two Conferences – the East Conference presented by Rood & Riddle and the West Conference presented by LAURACEA. The Series culminates in a West Conference Championship Final at Blenheim EquiSports’ International Jumping Festival in San Juan Capistrano, California and the overall Series Final at the Washington International Horse Show in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. The riders who top the year-long Series standings receive an engraved Tiffany crystal trophy and the winners of the Series’ two Finals receive one of LAURACEA’s best-selling Convertible Backpack Totes.
