Mrs. Pastures Cookies for Horses Introduces Ring Ready™, the Colorless Cookie with Gut-Buffering Technology

Edited Press Release

[LEXINGTON, Ky.] – Mrs. Pastures® Cookies for Horses, an Alltech company, has introduced a new treat: Ring Ready™. Designed with horse health in mind, this cookie features gut-buffering technology to help horses cope with stress. With its smaller, “bit-friendly” size, Ring Ready is perfect to use before or during your ride. Featuring organic banana and organic vanilla, along with pure cane sugar, this treat is ready to earn its place in the training and competition routine of equestrians everywhere.

“This is the first horse cookie of its kind,” said Joanna Russell, account manager for Mrs. Pastures, who is also a United States Equestrian Federation professional. “As an active competitor myself, I believe that Ring Ready fills an unmet need in the marketplace. It helps support your horse during any stressful situation, maintains a natural saliva color, and is ‘pocket tested’ to hold up to the lifestyle of equestrians in the summer.”

Ring Ready contains millet flour, oats, cane sugar syrup, white chia seeds, seaweed-derived calcium, organic banana, organic vanilla and water.

“We’ve gone through rigorous taste testing, compared saliva colors, and worked to truly develop a cookie ready to be the perfect training and competition treat,” Russell said. “I’m extremely thrilled with some of the early testimonials we’ve received from competitors across a variety of disciplines during the beta testing. I can’t wait to see the Ring Ready make its stamp on the market.”

About Mrs. Pastures
Mrs. Pastures Cookies for Horses was the brainchild of Walnut Creek, California horsewoman Patricia Burge, who was determined to make a great-tasting, wholesome treat for her daughter Maggie’s childhood horse. After many test batches were made in Mrs. Burge’s home kitchen, she landed on the original horse cookie as we know it. From there, she graduated to manufacturing from the kitchen of an indoor riding arena viewing area and — as word got out and demand continued to grow — production eventually moved to a larger facility.

Over the years, the company has remained dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and cookies that are consistent in taste, quality and presentation, which has undeniably helped to garner a loyal fan following. Many of us undoubtedly have fond memories of feeding Mrs. Pastures to our own childhood horses.

Alltech® was pleased to welcome Mrs. Pastures into its family of companies in the fall of 2021. We are confident that we can not only continue to build upon Mrs. Burge’s lasting business legacy, but also help to expand production capabilities and continue to bring new cookie variations to life, ensuring more of these great-tasting treats reach an even wider number of our equine friends.
