Pudge couldn’t believe what he was witnessing as Katie walked closer and closer with the new arrival.
“If they think for one second that she is coming in my paddock”, before Pudge could finish his thought Katie was at his paddock gate.
“Pudge, meet Paisley” Katie said. Pudge laid his ears back and turned his rump towards Katie. He was going to make it very clear he wasn’t interested.
“Oh come on Pudge” said Katie as she walked Paisley into the paddock. “It will be fun to have a new friend”.
Pudge continued to stand facing away from both of them. He had no interest in a new friend.
“Now Pudge, you be nice and show Paisley the ropes. She will need a friend to help her settle in before she starts working with the kids”, Katie said as she walked back towards the barn.
For the first time Pudge and Paisley were alone in the paddock. Pudge stayed turned away but Paisley was brave enough to approach him.
