This month, The Plaid Horse is proposing a new challenge. Whether you’re returning home from Indoors to get back to the basics, starting to gear up for the winter show circuit, or are buckling down for some winter bootcamp training, we invite you to join us not in dropping our stirrups, but in ditching our spurs (or do both).
Inspired by how riding without spurs brought success to one junior rider this fall. Click here to read how.
Introducing No Spurs November. In the next few weeks, challenge yourself, your friends, your students, or your whole barn to ride without spurs as many times as you can and post on social media about what your experience is like, what you struggle with, and what you learn through the process. Add us as collaborators on Instagram and use hashtag #tphnospursnovember when you post.
If you feel a difference or improvement in your riding, awareness, or in your horse, tell us! Email editor@theplaidhorse.com with your story and takeaways and let everyone know how you survived #tphnospursnovember on theplaidhorse.com.
