- Guest: Armand Leone is an attorney by trade, with a long family history in horse sport. He is a graduate of the Columbia Business School and the Columbia University School of Law, and also earned his M.D. from New York Medical College. In the ring, Armand competed at three showjumping World Cup finals, and in 1980, he cleared 6’9″ to win the puissance at Wembley CSI. Armand was an alternate for the US showjumping team for the 1980 Olympics, and has many international Grand Prix wins to his name. He has served as director of the United States Equestrian Federation, vice president of the High Performance Sport division, and he’s served on numerous committees and special task forces. Armand still rides and trains at his family’s farm in Oakland, New Jersey. He founded Leone Equestrian Law in 2014 after leasing a horse in 2012 that suffered an injury, leading to an expensive arbitration process with an attorney who knew nothing about horses. Armand spotted a gap in the market and set out to fill it.
