Pikesville, MD – November 13-16, 2025 – At the 2025 EQUUS Film & Arts Fest, KB Media Equine’s docuseries Inside the Ingate won the WINNIE Award in the English Short Documentary Series Category.
Produced by Kelly Berry, Inside the Ingate steps inside the world of equestrians in a way that goes beyond the perfectionistic stigma of the show ring. See riders in moments you don’t usually get to witness, such as the small victories, the setbacks, the laughs, and the hard work that happens behind the scenes. From local schooling shows to top competitions, this series captures the real-life experiences, connections, and love for horses that bring our entire community together!
Season 2, which released episodes this past fall, centered on the historic and legendary hunter/jumper competition, the 2025 Devon Horse Show & Country Fair in Devon, PA, from May 21-June 1, 2025. Featured riders include The Plaid Horse’s very own publisher, Piper Klemm, as well as Nick Haness, Mathew Jenkins, and Hannah Purnell.
TPH’s Brooke Goodman was at the EQUUS Film & Arts Fest at Pikes Studio Ciniema to receive the award and give an acceptance speech on behalf of Berry, who is on location filming her next project.
“It was just such a wonderful documentary to watch being filmed,” says Goodman, who joined Klemm at Devon and witnessed some of the production behind the scenes. “It shows so many different experiences within the horse showing world, and it’s a very raw and authentic depiction of that.”
