Horse Spot Announces Key Industry Hires Erin Webb and Heather Burke

Horse Spot, a technology platform transforming how horse shows are managed and experienced, today announced the addition of two key team members, Erin Webb and Heather Burke, as the company continues to expand its impact across the equestrian industry.

These hires reflect Horse Spot’s commitment to building a team rooted in both the equestrian sport and the real-world experience of running horse shows. Their additions come as more shows and organizations adopt modern tools to simplify operations and improve the exhibitor experience.

Shaped by the Horse Show Community

Erin Webb joins Horse Spot as an Account Executive, bringing a unique blend of hands-on horse show experience and corporate sales expertise. Based in Syracuse, NY, Webb is a USHJA, USEF, and AQHA Show Secretary and has worked extensively within the industry, including full-time roles with HITS. She also brings experience from the corporate world as a Proposal Manager, where she collaborated closely with sales teams.

Webb’s path to Horse Spot started in the horse show office. While working as a show secretary at the Partridge Run Summer series and the USHJA Zone 2 HOTY Championships in Harrisburg, she used Horse Spot for the first time.

“Nothing really prepares you for that moment—someone using your product in the real world, putting it through its paces, and then saying, ‘Yes—this is the future. I want to be part of it,’” said Christopher Lenard.

After reconnecting over a prior overlap at Balmoral in Chicago nearly a decade earlier, Webb expressed interest in joining the team. Within her first week, she had already closed her first sale and quickly immersed herself in onboarding customers and supporting new show partnerships.

“Erin understands both the day-to-day realities of running horse shows and the importance of building strong relationships with organizers,” said Lindsay Lenard, co-founder of Horse Spot. “Her perspective is incredibly valuable as we continue to partner with shows and associations nationwide.”

Webb is especially excited about features like trainer splits and the ability to save and manage vaccine records directly within entries—tools that streamline operations for both secretaries and exhibitors.

Heather Burke joins as Director of Marketing & Growth. Based in Johnson City, TN, she brings a background rooted in the hunter/jumper world along with a passion for making equestrian sport more accessible. Burke will lead brand strategy, partnerships, and growth initiatives, with a focus on connecting more riders and organizers through Horse Spot.

After more than a decade in the technology platform and agency space, Burke brings expertise in driving digital transformation and scaling businesses, with a passion for making technology practical and accessible—and is excited to bring that energy to Horse Spot as it helps lead meaningful change across the equestrian industry.

“Heather brings an authentic voice and perspective to our team,” said Lindsay Lenard. “Her ability to connect with the community will help us shape a more accessible and engaging future for horse showing.”

Burke is particularly drawn to Horse Spot’s leaderboard features and celebratory tools, which highlight rider achievements and enhance the overall show experience.

Supporting the Future of Horse Shows

Both Webb and Burke bring firsthand insight into the challenges of today’s horse shows—and a shared commitment to improving how the sport operates at every level.

Webb is focused on empowering secretaries and organizers with tools that reduce stress and improve efficiency—an area she knows firsthand.

Burke is passionate about breaking down barriers within the sport and creating a more unified, inclusive experience across disciplines, while bringing a strong focus on technology and innovation to how the sport evolves.

Their additions come at a pivotal time for Horse Spot, as the platform continues to expand its offerings, including live scoring and enhanced tools for horse show management. Just weeks into their roles, both Webb and Burke are already making an impact—supporting new show partnerships, onboarding customers, and advancing Horse Spot’s marketing initiatives.

Looking Ahead

With a growing team and a clear vision, Horse Spot remains focused on redefining how horse shows are run and experienced by bringing modern, intuitive technology to a traditionally underserved space.

“We’re building this company alongside the people who live and breathe this sport,” said Michael Lenard, co-founder of Horse Spot. “Erin and Heather embody that, and we’re thrilled to have them on board.”
