Only Double-Clear Effort Secures Victory During Closing Day of Traverse City Spring Series Week I

Traverse City, MI – June 7, 2026—Delaney Flynn (USA) and Hoppetossa, a 10-year-old Swedish Warmblood mare, closed out opening week of the Traverse City Spring Series with victory in the $20,000 1.40m-1.45m Jumper Classic at Flintfields Horse Park.

Flynn and Hoppetossa produced the only double-clear effort of the class, stopping the jump-off clock in 38.655 seconds. Molly Ashe Cawley (USA) finished second aboard La Rosso Lady, while Eleanor Rudnicki (USA) rounded out the podium riding Little Dance W.

“It is a great class for a horse like mine that I’m getting to know and moving up to this level,” said Flynn. “It’s a nice in-between class before we take the step up to FEI. I thought it was really good to keep her confident and move her up a level before I try the three-stars in a few weeks.”

Flynn began riding Hoppetossa at the start of the year after being given the ride by trainers John and Chris McCrea of Windsor Show Stables. The pair spent the winter circuit in Florida building experience together before continuing their development this summer in Traverse City.

“This is a great show for her to move up and get confident in a change of scenery,” said Flynn. “The horses love it here and feel great, so I’m really excited for the partnership with her.”

Now in her fourth summer at Flintfields Horse, Flynn said Traverse City remains one of her favorite stops for developing younger horses.

“This is definitely our favorite show of the summer,” she said. “It’s a great show to move up newer ones and younger ones, which we have a good group of right now.”

Flynn credited the team behind the result.

“It takes a whole team to make it all happen,” she said. “We have a really good team right now.”

Competition resumes Wednesday as the Traverse City Spring Series enters CSI4* competition during week two at Flintfields Horse Park. Fans and competitors can view full schedules, results, and live updates through the Traverse City Horse Shows Mobile App.
