Lainie Wimberly is on a hot streak with another win this past week at Princeton Show Jumping in Princeton, NJ.

Wimberly rode to the top of the $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby/PEL Hunter Derby on Jupiter Rubie Noir, a 9-year-old KWPN gelding owned by Soledad O’Brien.

“What a fun day I had riding Jupiter Rubie Noir in the National Derby,” says Wimberly. “He is a unique horse in that he is a perfect match to his owner, Soledad. He’s able to get her ready for the adult hunters yet is also able to shine in his first derby with no practice!”

Wimberly decided to enter the gelding in the derby for fun and is beyond thrilled with the result.

Wimberly’s recent wins include back-to-back victories in the USHJA National Hunter Derby at WEF Spring 3 aboard Cayman and Calutano, both owned by Laurie Stevens.
