As the liquidation of former Dover Saddlery stores continues, Greenhawk Equestrian Sport has sent a letter to vendors outlining its plans for a number of former Dover retail locations.
In the letter, Greenhawk states that it has been “successful in acquiring a significant number of former Dover store locations from the liquidator.” The company emphasized that it did not acquire Dover Saddlery itself, but rather secured select store locations through the liquidation process.
According to the letter, the acquired locations will be rebranded under the Greenhawk Equestrian Sport banner and operated by Greenhawk USA LLC. The company says its goal is to preserve equestrian retail access in key markets, protect jobs where possible, and continue supporting riders, horse owners, and local equestrian communities.
Greenhawk describes itself as a family-owned equestrian retailer with more than 40 years in business and says it plans to rebuild operations in the acquired markets with new assortments and inventory. The company also noted that it will be reaching out to vendors in the coming weeks to discuss future partnerships and supply opportunities.
The letter does not specify the exact number of locations involved. However, Greenhawk indicates that the stores will resume operations following the completion of the ongoing liquidation process.
At this time, Dover Saddlery’s liquidation sales remain underway, and additional details regarding the future of individual store locations have not yet been announced. Greenhawk’s letter provides the clearest indication so far of the company’s plans for the locations it has acquired through the liquidation process.
