Edited Press Release

Rowan Willis and his own Blue Movie were victorious in the $50,000 Grand Prix.

“Blue Movie has been the horse of a lifetime for me. She jumped the summer at Spruce Meadows and unfortunately had a small injury so she wasn’t able to jump the ‘Masters’ week. This is her first show back. It is always good to have her at the show! It was a good comeback for her today.”

Luke Rinehart and his own Hero captured the top prize in the $15,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby, sponsored by Premier Equestrian. The pair earned high scores of 80.5 and 88.

“Hero was a little impressed but we have a routine. We flat in the morning, and he was quiet today. He is better off the left lead so I decided to go left to the first jump in the handy. I was thinking about catching the inside turn from the out of the eight-stride but I landed left so I ended up going right around.”

Devin Milan (USA) and Karlina T, owned by Garo Kazan, won the $10,000 Futures Prix.

“The sport is so rewarding, especially when the horses do well, and we notice that they are making improvements. It is something that I am super proud of. We bought these horses because we could afford them, and then we made them into what we wanted them to be.”
