Giving Back to Our Nation’s Heroes During This Season of Giving
Edited Press Release
MUSCATINE, Iowa (Nov. 26, 2024) – With Giving Tuesday just around the corner, Sentinel continues to raise funds through its Round-Up campaign for Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP). The Round-Up program, which began in April 2024, has already brought in over $10,000. Funds raised will support the critical mental health and wellness programs Wounded Warrior Project provides for our nation’s veterans.
Round-Up donations will be collected at Sentinel’s Blue Seal® Stores in the Northeast through Dec. 24, 2024. Customers can round-up their purchases or donate at the register.
One of the programs Round-Up donations will benefit is equine therapy, which helps veterans connect with horses in a safe and open environment, fostering a supportive space where they can build confidence and resilience. Wounded warrior and U.S. Army Reserve Veteran Chris Hoff says, “This program allows veterans who have never had the opportunity to seek equine therapy, to seek a different route for treatment.”
“It is an honor to support our nation’s veterans through the Sentinel Round-Up initiative,” says Kristyn Sturken, Product Manager, Kent Nutrition Group. “With every contribution made, we help veterans find hope and healing. We are grateful to our amazing customers for their compassion and generosity throughout this program.”
