UPPERVILLE, Va., June 7, 2026 — JJ Torano (of Wellington, Fla.) continued his winning form on Saturday, June 6, securing the $31,500 FEI/CSI 4* Upperville Speed Stakes with a decisive ride aboard JET Show Stables’ Dora du Valon. Torano, Wellington, Fl., went ninth in the order and proved too fast to catch, holding on for the win in 60.86 seconds at the 2026 Upperville Colt & Horse Show, presented by MARS EQUESTRIAN™.
Chloe Reid (USA) was close behind aboard the 2025 Speed Stakes winner, Chelsea 179, jumping clear in 62.43 seconds to finish on his heels in second, while owner/rider Stella Wasserman (ISR) completed the course clear in a time of 62.53 seconds riding Myla.
Presented by the Ingram Family, the Speed Stakes is a one round class designed to showcase the fastest possible round over a set course. Thirteen of 34 starters jumped clear over Alan Wade’s track in the B&D Builders Grand Prix Ring.
