Edited Press Release
Lexington, KY – October 8, 2026 – Alexa Curry of Fort Lauderdale, FL, has won the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Rider of the Month Award Presented by Charles Ancona for September.
A talented junior rider, Curry competes in the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series’ East Conference. She had quite a successful month at Traverse City’s Tournament of Champions, starting off with third- and fourth-place finishes in the $10,000 SJHOF 1.45m Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic during Week 2 (riding Quentin K and Eliwood Du Fresne, respectively). During Week 3, she and Quentin K returned for top honors in the $15,000 SJHOF 1.45m Junior/Amateur Jumper Classic; she also finished sixth aboard Eliwood Du Fresne. These performances helped her and Quentin K earn both weeks’ 1.45m Junior/Amateur Jumper Reserve Championship, as well as the Hall of Fame’s Rider and Horse of the Month awards for September.
The Show Jumping Hall of Fame conducts its Jumper Classic Series with classes at approximately 80 horse shows each year. The Series hosts classes for junior and amateur riders at both 1.40-1.45m and 1.30-1.35m in two Conferences – the East Conference and the West Conference. The Series culminates in Championship Finals for both divisions in the fall – the West Finals are held October 14-18 at the Temecula Valley Fall 3, and the East Finals are held November 25-29 at the Holiday & Horses CSI4* at Wellington International. The winners of the Finals all receive complimentary admission to the Hall of Fame’s annual Induction Ceremony and Awards Gala in Wellington in March, during which they are honored for their achievements.
Each month, the Series honors the one rider and one horse that earn the most points in Series competition that month. For year-end awards, the Series recognizes each conference’s Leading Rider and Leading Horse. Each year-end award winner receives an engraved Tiffany crystal trophy and complimentary admission to the Hall of Fame’s annual Induction Ceremony and Awards Gala in Wellington in March, during which they are honored for their achievements.
