As a horsewoman, I am most proud of… The love I have for my horses, how hard I work to achieve my goals, and recognizing that I am working with live animals, so patience is always important. It’s so hard for all of the pieces to come together, and I am always appreciative when they do… but I never expect it. • As a horsewoman, I would most like to improve… Not being quite so hard on myself. • A horse person I admire is… Good riders who take care of their horses. People who listen to themselves and their horses and know their limitations.

A must-have accessory at the horse show is… A great trainer who understands you and your horses… is that an accessory? I love my Butet saddle, a great boot polish kit, and good walking shoes (I love to lunge myself before a big class) • My best piece of advice for young fashion lovers is… Go for it! Feel good expressing yourself. Differences are what make us unique and special. • I would be lost without… My horses and three doodles. They keep me sane.

Adding style to equestrian attire looks like… Being put together. Add style, but look professional. Polished style helps me be more productive at work, and as a rider, it helps me perform better. • An artist or designer I look up to is… Anything and everyone at Creative Growth, a nonprofit that supports artists with disabilities. What’s not to admire • I’m a sucker for… A great cheeseburger and good tequila, but only one and never the night before I ride.

In order to be successful, business owners have to… Be willing to take risks… but calculated ones. • I never go to the barn without… Being in a good headspace to ride and be safe. • The equestrian community inspires me to… Do what makes me happiest in the world.

The best part about having a job in fashion and design is… Being creative every day and hopefully inspiring others. It allows me to meet incredible clients and friends and travel the world. • Something I’d like to try with horses that I haven’t yet is… I’m so happy and challenged every day with my horses. Maybe compete in an international derby one day… but time will tell. • My motto is… Be the best friend, and rider, and horsewoman, and girlfriend, and boss.
